Testimonials

“I am so glad we found UCNS. All three of my children attended! Being in the classroom a few days a month was a joy for my kids and made me a better person and a better parent. I can’t really overstate how much I improved and how much I love the school and staff. The school really loves connections, so you get a chance to meet other parents and chat. The UCNS parents I met are still some of my closest friends.”

“For our family, the community building aspect of UCNS was life-changing. My husband and I and our kids all built friendships through UCNS that we have a decade later. It’s a really special place.”

“Both of my kids went to UCNS. It was the best decision I’ve ever made for them. Ellen & Bev are the most amazing teachers you will ever meet. We love them dearly. The magic of UCNS is that they meet the children where they are and are constantly adapting to meet their needs. You will never regret sending your child to UCNS! I could go on and on about how amazing it is!”

“UCNS has been the absolute best parenting choice for my 2 kiddos! The teachers are above and beyond amazing. Not only did my children flourish and grow in every way but I learned so much from the teachers and grew as a parent. I also really enjoy the community feeling and have made many mommy friends for myself (not easy to do as a busy mom of 2 and an introvert)!”

“My daughter was a part of UCNS for two years and enrolling her there was a fantastic first school experience.  She was surrounded by kindness and positivity that no one but the teachers Ellen and Bev could give! I saw my daughter grow through play and experiencing, and enjoying the outdoors.  I can’t speak highly enough of UCNS and the goodness that is fostered there.  And as an added benefit, both she and I met some great friends; the community at UCNS is something incredibly special.”

“Loved UCNS for 7 years! The teachers are so wonderful they are STILL helping me with my youngest because they know him so well. The co-op commitments are very manageable and really foster a sense of community. My 3 kids are VERY different and each one was met where they were and given what they needed. It was hard to leave.”

“When we were shopping for preschools we discovered so many options were open to us. As we interviewed the schools my little guy clung to me for dear life. He had never been watched by an adult who wasn’t family before and he was very scared. UCNS was the first school where he not only left my side but willingly played with kids in a different room while I spoke with the director.

My child learned social and emotional skills. My child is no longer afraid to ask an adult for help. My child gained a confidence in himself that is a joy to see. My son (quite the perfectionist) now understands that everyone makes mistakes (adults and children alike) and that’s okay. He can handle disappointment. He is patient and kind. And he had a perfect foundation to start kindergarten.

As a stay at home mom, joining a cooperative was a great fit for me. I had “purpose.” I felt valued. I have made the best friends imaginable. My children have made best friends.

When my older son started UCNS I needed someone to watch my younger son on my parent helper days. UCNS has a system for that too. That’s just one example of how UCNS focuses on the welfare of the whole family. I am a better parent because we are a UCNS family.”
